Screening Platform

Description

The screening platform provides expertise for the development, miniaturization and validation of biochemical and cellular assays to be used for screening of small molecules libraries. Our instrumentation allows the setup of flexible, partially automated protocols, using different readouts including absorbance, luminescence, fluorescence, TR-FRET and cell imaging. The laboratory is equipped with a high-content screening (HCS) system combined with software for image analysis and data analysis. The platform supports Drug Discovery projects by performing both primary screenings as well as dose-response validation assays, orthogonal and secondary assays.

Expertise

  • Biochemical and cell-based assay set-up and validation;
  • Miniaturization (384-well plates);
  • Multiple readouts including absorbance, luminescence and TR-FRET;
  • High-content imaging (HCI);
  • Screening/high-content screening (HCS);
  • Orthogonal and secondary assays;
  • Toxicity assays.
