Abstract: L’osteoartrite (OA) è una malattia disabilitante e senza cure disponibili. iRhom2 è un regolatore essenziale di ADAM17, una proteasi che gioca un ruolo cruciale nella progressione della malattia. Sulla base di solidi dati preliminari, abbiamo ipotizzato che l’inattivazione di iRhom2 potrebbe essere benefica nell’OA, nonché rappresentare un nuovo bersaglio terapeutico per la malattia. Dimostrare questa ipotesi utilizzando modelli in vivo e sviluppare una molecola per l’inattivazione terapeutica di iRhom2 è l’obiettivo centrale del progetto.Ri.MED Principal Investigator: Simone Dario Scilabra
