Implantable Composition for Use in Cartilage Defects Repair in Post-surgery Rehabilitation
Abstract
The invention relates to an implantable composition, comprising, as main components, a piezoelectric polymer loaded with magnetic micro- or nanoparticles and cellularized with stem cells, chondrocyte progenitors, or adult chondrocytes; the composition is useful in the post-surgery regenerative rehabilitation as part of the treatment of articular diseases caused by chondral defects (e.g. osteoarthritis).
