Nazareno Costa obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Production Sciences, Technologies, and Safety from the University of Messina in 2020 (L38).

From 2019 until March 2, 2021, he collaborated in research activities at the Comparative Veterinary Ethology Laboratory at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Messina.

In February 2021, he obtained titles and certifications for managing HACCP, BRC, IFS protocols, and business management at Riconnexia.eu.

From July 2022 to July 2023, he received theoretical training for functions A, C, D, according to art.23 of Legislative Decree 26/14 and in accordance with DM August 5, 2021, including legislation, ethics, basic biology, use of animal models such as rodents and lagomorphs (Mice, Rats, and Rabbits), fish (Zebrafish, Poeciliidae, Medaka, Nothobranchius), ungulates (Swine, Small Ruminants, Camelids), and large ungulates (Cattle and Equines), and certifications in specific modules such as ethics and project design, advanced breeding practices, with courses from IZSLER.

In February 2023, he completed practical training on mice and rats for functions A, C, D according to DM August 5, 2021, at the University of Naples Federico II.

In December 2023, he completed practical training on sheep for functions A, C, D according to DM August 5, 2021, at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart.

Since May 2021, Nazareno Costa works at the Ri.MED Foundation as an Animal Care.
