Giulio Superti-Furga Interview @ Innovation Island

On September 18, 2024, at Palermo’s Giardini del Massimo, Innovation Island interviewed Giulio Superti-Furga, RiMED’s scientific director. He shared his perspective on the future of biomedical research and scientific entrepreneurship: professors Sebastiano Bavetta and Carlo Amenta engaged Superti-Furga in a conversation that focused significantly on the Carini research center he will lead. The center will adopt a One Health approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of human health with the environment and ecosystems. Sicily, with its unique culture and environment, provides the ideal setting for a research center that is forward-thinking and ‘not just modern and relevant today, but in ten years’.
