Abstract: the project aims to strengthen cross-border scientific cooperation in the field of precision medicine applied to oncology. Biogen4Med focuses on the integrated application of advanced omics technologies — including proteomics and genomics—for the identification and validation of molecular biomarkers associated with high-impact oncological diseases, particularly pancreatic adenocarcinoma and breast cancer. By combining the analysis of biological samples with clinical data integration, the project seeks to improve the understanding of disease mechanisms and to support the development of early diagnostic tools and personalized therapeutic strategies. In addition, Biogen4Med promotes capacity building, training of young researchers, and the establishment of a sustainable scientific network between Italy and Tunisia.
Le projet vise à renforcer la coopération scientifique transfrontalière dans le domaine de la médecine de précision appliquée à l’oncologie. Biogen4Med repose sur l’utilisation intégrée de technologies omiques de pointe (notamment la protéomique et la génomique) pour l’identification et la validation de biomarqueurs moléculaires impliqués dans des pathologies oncologiques majeures, telles que l’adénocarcinome pancréatique et le cancer du sein. L’analyse de données biologiques et cliniques permettra de mieux comprendre les mécanismes moléculaires de ces maladies, contribuant ainsi au développement d’outils diagnostiques précoces et de stratégies thérapeutiques personnalisées. Le projet favorise également le transfert de connaissances, la formation de jeunes chercheurs et la structuration d’un réseau scientifique durable entre l’Italie et la Tunisie.
