Cenni biografici

Dr. Valentina Caldarella earned her Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine in 2025 from the University of Palermo.
During her academic studies, she completed a 14-month internship at the Molecular Aging (M.AGE) Laboratory of the IRIB Institute of the CNR in Palermo, where she focused on the analysis of NGS sequencing data, with a particular emphasis on repetitive sequences. She also applied machine learning techniques to identify molecular signatures, contributing to the development of her thesis titled “Expression of repetitive sequences in brain and blood samples from individuals affected by multiple sclerosis: analysis using traditional methods and machine learning.”
Since April 2025, she has been a research fellow within the Advanced Data Analysis group at the Ri.MED Foundation, as part of the Castor&Pollux project.

Attività Scientifica

As part of the Castor&Pollux project, Dr. Valentina Caldarella will be involved in standardizing the analysis pipelines for omics data generated by the Ri.MED Foundation’s NGS platform.
