The goal of the Biotechnology Research and Biomedicine Center is to become a beacon for biotechnology research, a fast-growing sector. Once activities are in full swing, the BRBC will employ approx 600 people and about just as many jobs will be created in the allied industries that the facility will help develop. The BRBC will host highly-qualified researchers, biologists, physicians, engineers, and technicians, and will have a positive impact on the regional economy. Biotechnology is an expanding field and BRBC will make Sicily competitive worldwide.
One of Ri.MED Foundation's main goals is to train scientific, technical, and administrative staff with specific biotechnology skills.
